Please Help - Door Script

I need a door that opens after it's paid an X amount of money, but still doesn't allow other people to enter. Maybe it becomes phantom for that person after it's paid. If anyone has one this would help me greatly =).

There are so many ways to get through a locked door, wall or whatever that the idea of a pay door is not really worth the time it takes to script it. It would be easier and more secure to sell passes through the parcel access.

The only way I can think of making it worthwhile would be to a) require that all visitors are using RLV (eject if not successfully scanned). b) Apply, no sit, no far touch, no rez, no tp etc. and only then consider the locked door opening on pay.

Unless it's just for a bit of RP fun in which case it wouldn't be difficult but if it's to earn money from people who want to use your poseballs in the next room, forget it.

I was planning on a club where you have to pay to get in, but the pay to access the land is a great idea. Thank you both!

Another possibility is a pay teleporter. That way the actual venue can be outside of camming distance, preventing a cam-inside-and-sit exploit.

I have never seen "pay to access the land", and I would think that would really cause people to just not come. I believe Rezzable used a pay teleporter when they wanted to do this.

Or how about you pay at the door and that sends your uuid and the time of your payment to a security orb inside the club? The orb adds you and the time of your payment to the whitelist, and this means it ignores you for the next hour (or whatever), as it does a scan every sixty seconds. When you've only got 5 minutes left on the clock, it warns you, so you can pay again if you want.

I'm not sure how well this would work as a business model for a club; most clubs see to need to pay the punters to go there rather than vice versa. It's not an uncommon model for skyboxes attached to them, though (but that particular business model would mean your club had to be on Adult land, of course).

Another option is group access only and you have to pay to join the group. You could open it for free for awhile and then add a payment schedule to it.
