Over the last couple of days, I have lost access to a great part of my inventory, the names of the folders are there but am not able to open them. These include landmarks, calling cards and many sub folders.
Does anyone else have the same problem? If so, is there a way to correct it?
Any help would be appreciated,
Alexa

Hello Alexa, Have you tried clearing your cache and relogging? You can do that in Edit-Preferences-Network Tab-Clear Cache If the problem still persists after relogging, then you will need to go to the support page and submit a ticket and ask for them to possibly restore your inventory May not be able to open them because they are empty

i have approx 50k items in my inventory...this last week i was only showing 25 k at certain times of the day..I cleared cache..it helped..but still at certain "peak" hours my inventory would "stall" at 35k?...40K?...alot of times I wouldn't be able to find a texture in my inventory that i had JUST used..I knew the name and even typed it into the search engine....no go...I have a feeling they're having data base issues.((more so in the recent week than usual))

Wow Lana, 50k items! I try to be ruthless and have about 20k in my inventory. I'm forever throwing things out that I will never use/wear but they do rather build up

I have a similar problem that clearing cache etc won't resolve. The tree of folders underneath "Inventory" is fine, but all the sub folders of one particular previous non-system folder (actually one that I used to dump all the female clothes in that I acquire, so it is not critical but an administrative nuisance) have decided to appear on the top level along with "Inventory" and I can't do anything with them - in fact, attempting to open any of the folders usually makes me crash. So I don't try that any more! Pep (Any ideas?)

From: HoneyBear Lilliehook You acquire female clothes? WHY? It all started when I was looking for clothes to play golf in . . . I couldn't find any men's check slacks, nor polo shirts or "Pringle" golf sweaters. Then I noticed some suitable female sweaters and wondered if they might stretch to fit my manly 48inch chest. And there is such a paucity of good "classic" men's wear in sl that I started picking up female stuff that might be unisex. Anything that didn't look right or didn't fit that wasn't no transfer I dumped in a folder and gave it away to needy girls I met. Pep (And the tights are handy to keep my legs warm when I go skiing)

Delete the cache folder manually...clearing doesn't always remove all of the data in it, so you don't actually get a full rebuild of the information from the asset servers.
For XP, that's at C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\SecondLife\Cache
I don't really know Vista...it's like AppData\Roaming\something-or-other. Someone help me here!
If that doesn't work, try deleting the entire Second Life Application Data folder. You should do this every time you want to do a 'clean' reinstall anyway.
Also, Application Data is normally a hidden folder, so you may have to 'show' those if you haven't already.
