I was just ingame, couldnt upload textures becuz of that idiotic reason when you cant upload textures, I logged off, now I cant log in..just stuck on loading, is anyone else having a problem, or am I just cursed tonite?

I've got the same problem. Thought it was just me. I've got friends in game that aren't having any problems so I thought it was because I was still using 1.18.4, so I downloaded 1.18.5. First time I tried to open the map, it crashed. And it's been "connecting to region" for the last 7 minutes on a second try to get in.

I'm probably going to go try WindLight next if this connection doesn't happen (which I doubt it will at this rate).

Sometimes the blog has useful info about problems like these.

Windlight and the Release Candidate are out of commission due to a security problem.

I've crashed repeatedly in the past half hour or so. Had other problems like gray map.

[RESOLVED] Windlight and Release Candidate temporarily unavailable.

[3:30 PM PST] The updated Windlight viewer is now available for download as well. As mentioned before, these updates are required for anyone using these viewers. -Chiyo

From the blog. And I've actually gotten to log in through WL, but don't dare open the map because it'll crash.

Never got in with 1.18.5 though.

I have corrupted prims in my building that are suddenly behaving as they are phantom but are not. I want to make a copy but i'm afraid to do that now as well. Hope I don't lose over a month of hard work.

Thankfully I haven't invested a boatload, so I'm not married to SL. I do enjoy it, and I do come in to hang with friends, but I get mighty tired of it, when on the rare occassions that I do show (in recent past anyway), it seems the grid has one issue or another.

That being said, and since I can't log in, other games: who plays what and how fun is it?

New viewers are available. Required update for windlight and release candidate. If you are working in a source branch, please update the hostname of the de localization to secondlife.com.

The reports I've seen inworld would seem to indicate that the new viewers described above aren't available. Maybe it's just the autoupdating that's failing. I didn't check.

No problems here been online for awhile now. even reloaded.......

As for some people they just use enough brain energy to understand they don`t know everything. Franky speaking the client being able to be down loaded problems have been occuring for weeks now. Nothing new here. just down loaded it from the website that works.
