How to show avatar

How do i show avatar, ive read on notecards of guns that i have, if i activate show avatar , it shows the gun like on an FPS (First Person Shooter), but how do i activate this?

I don't entirely understand what you're asking.
Do you mean the creator of the object?
If so when you have object in your inventory you may need to rezz it to the ground or wear it and go to edit and look in first tab on creator.
You can click creator's profile to see more information about the creator.
In the inventory you need to right click and select properties but it may not show you all the information you want there.

Do you mean mouselook, which a lot weapons require for aiming? If so you simply scroll forward with the mouse until your avi disappears. You then use the mouse crosshairs to aim and left/right click to fire.

I believe you are asking how to make the avatar show in mouselook. I am assuming your guns work that way; you press M and then use the cross hairs and your mouse to fire. To activate show in mouselook, go into Edit -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Check box named Show Avatar In Mouselook
