I had my home and business on an island. The owner of the island evidently stopped paying and has dropped off the grid. Yesterday without warning, the island was gone. Well, I had a warning, the day before the island was on the map, showing "offline" and you could not TP to it. Then today, it's not even on the map any more.
I checked my Lost and Found ... nothing. LL did not return my items when they deleted his island.
Shouldn't LL have the obligation to return everything before they delete it all? I mean, we're not the ones who didn't pay tier. But we lost all our rezzed items when LL deleted the sim.
What normally happens when a sim is deleted? Do they maybe keep it all intact somewhere to allow the owner a chance to pay and have it all restored and then after x amount of time it gets really deleted and items returned?
I'm a basic account, so LL won't even talk to me. So I'm turning to the residents for their advice and information.
Photos by Lolita is shut down for a few days while I straighten all this out.

LL is in no obligation to return anything to you or anyone else, read the small print. You may try to put in a ticket to have them reactivate the island for a few minutes and let you in to get your stuff. Good luck to you...

it's probably just shut off..you may want to call them to have them kick it on and do a return..that may work..

Islands are held for a week while offline before being deleted. You have about a week before it really goes poof to try and get LL to bring it back long enough for you to recover your items.

Here is the thing. LL does not delete your stuff when the island poofs, it is all saved.
This is becuase LL has more of an obligation to keep the island as is then they do to you and your items as far as they are concerned. If they returned all the items in the sim then the sim would basicly be destroyed, giving the island owner no chance to pay up his dues and recover there island as it was.
Keeping the objects as is gives the owner a chance to pay there dues and recover the island.

Thanks for the info. I'll try and see if I can get them to help me out. I'm a basic, so I figure I lost everything. Most of my stuff was self-built or had copy perms. But all my furniture that I had purchased was no-copy.
