Hi,

I canceled an alt account a little while ago and would now like to re-instate it before it expires. I can still log in with the account on the web site, but can't see any way to re-instate it. Can someone tell how to do this?

I have another alt avitar that I don't use anymore. This one has a few sets of purchased hair, a couple sets of purchased skin, xcite body parts and clothes all of which are not transferable. She turned out looking very nice. I am thinking of putting the av up for sale to recover my expenses. Maybe put a tag over her saying for sale and list the features in her profile, or some other way. Has anyone done this and do you see any problems?

There is no way for you to sell the whole avatar because LL won't allow the transfer of accounts except in very exceptional circumstances.

Why not just keep the av with all the good stuff and abandon the other one?

You can submit a ticket and have the cancelation canceled, but it will still cost the 10$ re-activation fee IIRC. Since they are rather slow to process help tickets, you may as well just wait till it expires and re-activate on the web page.

Selling accounts is a no-no. It's a quick way to get all your accounts banned.

You're the kind of girl we would all love to tie up and do awful things to. You have a strong sense of self and you are in complete control of your sensual side as well. Based on these pictures, I'm giving you a 9.1 - which is a VERY strong start for your first submission (heh - I said "submission";). You are a slut, but in the most positive, sexy way. Congratulations and shame on you!

Is it against the TOS for someone to pay me say $3,000 and I just give them the password to the account, which they can then change? No inventory is actually being transfered to another av.

From the TOS:

From: someone
2.4 Account registrations are limited per unique person. Transfers of accounts are generally not permitted.

Linden Lab may require you to submit an indication of unique identity in the account registration process; e.g. credit card or other payment information, or SMS message code or other information requested by Linden Lab. When an account is created, the information given for the account must match the address, phone number, and/or other unique identifier information associated with the identification method. You may register multiple accounts per identification method only at Linden Lab's sole discretion. A single account may be used by a single legal entity at Linden Lab's sole discretion and subject to Linden Lab's requirements. Additional accounts beyond the first account per unique user may be subject to fees upon account creation. You may not transfer your Account to any third party without the prior written consent of Linden Lab; notwithstanding the foregoing, Linden Lab will not unreasonably withhold consent to the transfer of an Account in good standing by operation of valid written will to a single natural person, provided that proper notice and documentation are delivered as requested by Linden Lab.

A sale is a type of transfer which means, yes, it is against TOS.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Thanks, I guess this isn't such a good idea after all.
