How can I release my land?

I want to get rid of my land as to not pay anything to SL. I want to stop withdrawall from my credit card. How can I do this?

Please don't just abandon it. Set it for sale under the current market prices and a bot will grab it quickly. Or contact a known land dealer and offer it to them. Any tier due will still be billed though, so take the proceeds from your land sale and convert it to a USD balance and LL will first draw on that to pay your fees and charge your CC any remaining due.

Well you will still be charged for the current billing cycle, but as long as you have offloaded the land before your billing date, that billing date will be the last charge LL make. I wouldn't just 'release' it, you may as well set it for sale; if your billing date is very soon, just set it for sale below the market value for a quick sale.

You will of course also need to downgrade from premium to basic account via 'My Account' > 'Upgrade/Downgrade Your Membership' on the website. You can also downgrade your tier manually here, too, but make sure that you have your land sold before it takes effect if you want to be sure to get something for it.

you have to sell the land. if you abandon it, you get zero L$, so at least sell it for 7m or so.... someoen will grab it.

Setting it for sale $L.1 under the lowest per meter price on the land sales list means a human will get it instantly, not a bot. You maximize your profit, and help spread the money around since the bots are set to buy all the land that's a bit cheaper.
