Hippo Rental boxes - days in a month

I have my Hippo boxes set to count time in months. Recently I've received complaints that payments are only giving tenants 28 days. Anyone know why Hippo boxes only apply 28 days to a month? Should be 30.5 if averaged out over a year... right?

In the 2 1/2 years I have been renting 1 month in SL is 4 weeks (28 days) if renting with a box. The rentos rent by the week they cant rent by days. Only other option would be to direct pay you for a month of 30 or 31 days if that is how you feel it should be. I could be wrong but I questioned this way in the begining and it is what I was told and how it has been.

If you are recieveing complaints they must be new businesses or new to renting because I have never rented a hippo and its been for more than 28 days unless you rent it for 5 weeks which then would be 35 days:P

I've heard of this 'four week month' standard in SL, but don't use it personally.

I use antiquated but very standard Rent-O-Matics which do count in days and take payments in 7 day intervals.

No discrepancy with what a month means with me, in spite of SL conventions. A month is a month in Caledon, or 4 and 1/3 weeks on average.

A four week long 'month' would make it 13 months to a year, not twelve!

In my book, that's not right unless it's made 100% clear in advance.

It's charging 8.3% more - a pretty hefty hidden fee.

I don't know if Hippos can do this, but can't you set them to weekly rental, and set the minimum to 4 weeks? I know it's exactly the same as now, but it removes the ambiguity of "month".

Yes you can, best to have someone walk you through it in the group chat.

a month is 28 days
