I think being high-minded and lofty about virtual worlds is all well and good. Thinking abstractly and about the future is good. Exercising your powers of imagination is a good thing ! However, most of us have to cope with the "realities" of living and working in the virtual world on a day to day basis. Like me. I think being "down to earth" and problem-focused in blog posts and other proclamations would win over more hearts and minds than an expansive speech on the future of the metaverse. Is there a Mute or Ignore feature for blog posts that are not down to earth ? Hmm... Thank you for reading. Now I feel much better.

There's a "Virtual Worlds" conference going on in London later this month, which I keep getting invites to.
Tickets for the 2 day, non residential conference, are around $1800.
Needless to say, I am not going.

that is SO true Alicia
When im knocking about SL.... when I speak to people I always realise that whats virtual about a person on the other end...
But for the most part SL is a fantastic place.. theres very little I dont like about it....now LL on the other hand
