I use FRAPS to record footage in second life. I disable voice in the client and record on Stereo Mix in wondows with the mic unmuted so FRAPS picks up ingame sounds (bot no voice) and picks up the mic via the soundcard.
On my inbuilt RealTEK AC99 Soundcard which is part of my motherboard (Asus A8N-SLI) everything sounds great, nice clear audio, nice clear voice.
However when i try and use my Audigy 2 ZS card a weird effect is heard through my voice, i sound almost like a dalek from doctor who, its a short (VERY short) timed echoed delay and it only happens when i use my Audigy card
I've went through the environment settings of my audigy 2 drivers and disabled the lot, didnt work, disabled voice in second life, still didnt work.I have noticed one thing, the strange effect on voice only happens when i record on my end (like on FRAPS) people on the other side dont hear it and it seems to start when the client is opened, the minute the client is closed my voice returns to normal.
