I'm not the most tech savvy person, but I have a few ideas. If lag is killing you, then my guess is that the stream is overloading your network bandwidth. Streaming video puts a lot more pressure on your bandwidth than audio. (And that's what an SL "DVD" is- it merely sets up a particular streaming video on your land.) The higher the quality the "DVD", the exponentially more it is eating up your bandwidth. The bandwidth being eaten by the video stream could be squeezing the bandwidth availabe to Second Life to the point which it just throttles you off. If that's the problem, I don't know of any good answers for you off the top of my head. Maybe reducing the bandwidth SL needs (cutting down draw distance and maximum bandwidth) will help. If your DVD would perhaps have higher quality and lesser quality options, try a lower quality stream. Other than than, making sure you have an updated version of Quicktime, and audio and video drivers, could help. It never hurts. Edit: And check the Second Life Wiki on Troubleshooting streaming video: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Troubleshooting_streaming_video
