missing land

I tried to divide up my land (mainland) in order to sell half. when i clicked the divide button the half i wanted to keep suddenly returned all my items, when i clicked land again i found that a group owned my land. Super freaky ninja chicks..and it was for sale at 17000, i sent an im to the group explaining what had happened and that it would be sorted soon.
i believe the group owner arrived shortly afterwards..never spoke...stayed a min and left, when she had gone the land was for sale at 9001.
i put a ticket into ll...
i went back about half hour later and a neighbour had bought the land....
i im'd every linden on sl, all (that answered) told me that was the way to go (a ticket), it would soon be sorted..
i put an update ticket in.....3 days later..nothing...any usefull advice

Looks like you may have set it for sale, at a low enough price the bots snatched it. If you look in your transaction history, chances are they paid you whatever they set the land back for sale to. You should speak to the neighbor about selling you the land back for the 9001 they paid for it. Normally in this situation if the bots return the land, they set it to sale for you only, so... i would try speak to your neighbor first, explain what happened, and see if they will be reasonable. If not, file a ticket with LL and wait.. not much else you can do.

no i checked that..i recieved nothing...and i was in edit land not on the land details.

Your land somehow got grabbed by a landbot, it sounds like Ninjaland in which case the group owner Ethanius is quite reasonable to deal with, if you politely explain the situation, if it is his group, I could be wrong.
It would be very unusual for your land to be able to be brought without you setting it for sale somehow, in which case it's a serious bug.

i contacted the group immediately..there was no details as to an individual to contact all the writiing was chinese or japanese (not sure)i recieved no reply at all

Someone told me they set land for sale to a specific person and a big land group grabbed and raised the price selling back to them. So there may be something screwy going on. Not naming and shaming but...a big group.

Unlike resident owned land, if it was group land you sold accidentally, it takes up to 24 hours for the proceeds of the sale to be paid to the group members.

Not NinjaLand. The land was grabbed by another person. A rather notorious person, whose bots specialise in this kind of activity. The OP got the only response they are ever going to get from that person. 17,000 downto 9,000.

If LL intercede then it will only be because there was some kind of demonstrable system failure. If the OP made a mistake or misunderstood the process of transferring land to/from group to/from self (as many first time buyers do) then LL never intercede. Its a done deal even if carried out at $0.

IMO the land to/from group procedure sucks, as is implemented, and far to many first time landowners get burned by it. LL (Jack Linden) has mentioned in the past that they are looking at it. I just wish they would stop looking at it and do something about it. Like put in a transfer from me to group / transfer from group to me option. Like whats been asked for a zillion times already by a zillion people.

Yeah I get ultra paranoid about transfering land myself, I don't know anyone who can do 20 plot transfers in a row and not feel worried about making a mistake with the current system.
