Someone who owns a "hippoGROUPS Server 10.1" is spamming me with inventory offers of sales on scarey newbie clothes. I did not sign up to be on this distribution list, perhaps my name was gotten from a group I belong to. I went to the shop, the URL given by the server and there is no obvious way to unsubscribe. Several notecard requests to the owner to take me off the distribution list have been met with silence. Any suggestions on how to stop this madness?

yea, I've had this before, just file an abuse report, and explain that you tried everything, they will take care of it for ya.

Mute the vendor's owner.

But be sure you are truly being spammed and that you don't own anything that is requesting an update from Hippo. Because when it happened to me, I also contacted the person who manages Hippo and got very prompt response. He explained to me that an object of mine (which I did own and forgot about, not his fault) was requesting the update from Hippo, that it would continue to request it until I either did the update, or removed the part of the script that was requesting it. I removed the part of the script he told me to and the update notecards and objects stopped coming. I was getting them twice a day.

You can manage your own Hippo Groups memberships.... Remove yourself, etc.
The instructions can be found here:
