Lets see...considering LL didn't even want a photo of mother and daughter AV's standing next to each other, I think a child AV standing next to a statue with his junk hanging out would cause an uproar. Although...the statue has no nipples, so it might be ok.

I don't think they would take into consideration that the statue is historical work and not obscene in any way.

Does it follow that I can walk around the festivities with my xCite! dangly bits dangling, so long as my reprehensible nipples aren't exposed?

Ahh, here we have the fine example of art vs porn..

The argument for letting this fellow *ahem* stand is that he's a classic work of art, rather than a recent piece. (If I had an L$ for every time I heard this argument RL side, I'd be rich!)

Apparently, it's easier to forgive the perceived lack of morals when it's hundreds of years old ;)

I have that pose. If I were to do some performance art by stripping down and standing on a pedestal in that pose, would it be allowed? If not why not? What if I textured my skin marble?

You are only allowed to do that if you are a statue in a fountain.

So now we know the qualifications of the Linden staff who were evaluating the difference between art and obscenity.

"Whether it is art or porn depends upon whether I can find a picture of it in my high school Humanties textbook."

Or if it can be found in the high school history book. Or was it junior high?

I've had entirely too many history classes. Most of which I've forgotten what I've learned!
