Repeating chat and pending attachment

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue? Whenever I type something it appears twice in local chat and im. Whenever I try to wear anything, before i can wear it, i get - "Cannot complete attachment. An attachment is pending for that spot." I've tried reloading SL twice with no luck. Following the instructions for reloading (clearing temp and cache prior) This problem has been going on for the last three days. I'm also now doubling purchases, receiving two items. And if i pay someone, they recieve two payments.

try relogging, and if you're using the new release candidate, maybe go back to the standard release viewer. The attachment, given time, will probably show up. Also, there may be an issue with the server were you are at. Try teleporting to a random spot and try changing attachments there.

If you mean that when you enter a line in im that it also shows up in local chat, that would be normal. It only shows on your screen. No one else can see the im.

I don't know for sure, but I think the attachment error has something to do with bad pariods of lag for SL. It happens to me infrequently, often when there are other lag-related issues happening with SL. Sometimes if you wait a few minutes, the attachment will finally go where you told it to go. If not, after a few minutes, just try attaching it again.

If you find the duplicate appearances of your IM conversations annoying, keep your local chat in a window rather than relying on the fading text.

I've run into this as well and yeah basically eventually it attaches.

Thanks for the advice. So far this has been going on for the last three days. Everything is double. Every purchase i buy the item twice, when i give some one cash i give them two payments - doubling the amount. Thanks again for any ideas.

I have heard of this happening. The person who was saying and doing things twice said it started "directly after [her] roommate started changing settings on their home router." Offhand, I'm not sure what settings might cause that, but if you have been tinkering with your home networking, try un-tinkering, or resetting the router to its default settings.

It's really peculiar to see the same line of chat appearing twice in a row every.single.time. someone says something in chat, so i understand. I wasn't aware that it could extend to purchases and other actions in SL, though. Best of luck, OP.

im having a situation where half not all, just a good percentage of any attachments i wear refusing to rezz with the same attachment pending message. but now im getting a new problem where any attachment that gets that message, now in the future refuses rezz or even give that message. its as if the attachments are dead. no response at all. and also, objects i have never rezzed on my account, are moving to the top of the folders instead of rezzing. so basically im slowly losing all of my inventory. which is 20,000 objects. losing my inventory never to be heard from again. The objects are still there, just taunting me, completely unusable.
