Down in the script section is a great teleporter script.

Contact me inworld and I'll help you set it up.

With my thanks to Qie for refining the script.

Creating a very simple teleporter is an *awesome* way to get started with scripting, fyi.

That's what peaked my own first interest, and I've been hooked ever since :)

If you're feeling adventurous, look up the function "llSitTarget()" in the LSL Wiki below:

Don't forget to still have a ramp or stairs or parachutes for skyboxes to comply with SL fire regulations, you'd hate to be trapped inside with no exit when the curtains catch fire and TP isn't working :)

Has anyone ever come up with an llSitTarget() routine that does not randomly put the avatar into bluebottle mode?
I've found that I can set one up using all "the classic" advice : time delays, positioning, slight rotations, some smoke and mirrors ......... but ...... every once in a while for the same 'tp' for the same avatar the usual relatively sedate repositioning is replaced by a simulation of a fly in a bottle.

the teleporter part is easy, but what about teleporters for houses that you are packaging and selling? If you set up the teleporter while you build the house, then when the ppl that bought it set it up, the teleporters will not be set up right for where they have the house. Ugh, it's so frustrating. How do you set up the teleporter to just lift them, say 6 meters up no matter where it is, instead of putting in exact coordinates to the place that they woul dneed to tp to?

BTW Bec, sorry for posting another question in your thread...lol

Hi Penny,
that part is quite easy for a scripter. Basically you get the current location of the teleporter as your reference, then add 6m to the Z-axis (or whatever offset you like in any direction).

There is an easy way to do that to. I bought a skyscraper with unlimited floors(if you have unlimited prims) , each floor has a teleport to go up to the next floor or down to the floor below.

Again, contact me inworld.. I'll be happy to help.

I am usually there from 5pm until 8pm SL Local time.

The teleporter that came with our prefab houses requires the owner to set the destination coordinates for both the upstairs and downstairs tp. There's a notecard that explains how to do this, step by step.
