This should be easy for you all - something basic I'm not doing - I can't get music to play on my land. I've put in a URL I know works, no music, I've checked preferences and it says "play streaming music when available". I've bought a radio and nothing but the SL wind can be heard. Sigh. I feel pretty stupid, anyone want to offer some advice?

Do you own the land, or rent. Sometimes renting means you have to deed the radio device
to the group that owns the plot.

Open up the sound tab (button found at lower right of your viewer) and make sure that you have the sound setting for music turned up too. All the sliders are different. This is in Preferences too, so I doubt you missed it, jsut mentioning it just in case ^.~

I have had times when my land won't play music. Usually when LL has issues with thier network. And they had DSN problems this morning that ~may~ have effected things.

Invite friends over and see if they can hear it. If they can't, request a Region Restart.

If they can hear it and you still can't, clear cache/relog, and go through each and every media setting one by one.

Well apparently it was just SL because it just came on blasting the blues! Glad to know I'm not as stupid as I thought! Thanks ya'll, happy Monday!
