Question: Is it possible for someone to track a user without that user's permission? If so, how is this done? And also, how can you prevent being tracked? This happened to a friend of mine.
Thanks

I could be wrong .... but I think the only way really is if they have allowed them to be seen on map, but I hear that there are scripted items that may contain a tracker

There are scripted items tnat enable you to track someone and even follow their chat from a distance.
To check whether you are being tracked, you need a scanner like Scan Foo. If someone is using Force Prophecies tracker, you need to use the /1 breach command to get rid of it.

Does the MystiTool have the ability to check if an you are being tracked as well? Does anyone know?

Someone knows way more about who I spend my time with than they should. Its kind of creepy.

Trackers and chat bugs can be targeted to follow your av around...but I'm not aware of any that can follow you through a teleport.

One exception: If you have actually accepted an item that includes a tracker, and are wearing it, then it will track you everywhere. Gotten any gifts recently??
