An AR would help. Of course you will have to provide some details to LL but if you have those then LL is pretty good at attending to those things.
Then there's the alt thing.........but that's a pain in the butt. |

There are a variety of devices that will let him know if you are online or not, but unless he is in the same sim, he cannot know *where* you are. Besides the mentioned devices, he could easily join groups that he thinks you are in and find out from those if you are online or not. There is no way to become totally invisible to anyone in SL. And, no, there is no way to know who is reading your profile.

How do you know he is reading your profile??
If he uses Emerald he will be able to see if you are online anyway. |

Is there a way to tell when something accesses your web profile, like the one I have at

Using Emerald there is a script going around now lets you see who views your profile if they also run emerald I think is the catch.
Tried it and it works, since emerald broadcasts on a channel you can intercept other people's clients also. Until emerald people put out a new version and fix that but for now you can intercept other emerald bridge traffic and use it to see what profiles/etc they do. _____________________

But doesnt that product only work when people are near each other? To be honest there is no real privacy in SL anyway ![]() |

A friend bought the HUD to test out and I modified different setting in my Emerald viewer and was easily able to get it so he did not see me looking at his profile. If I was not using Emerald at all, he did not know I was looking either. _____________________

As a compulsive Profile reader, I come across some great relevant groups like ...
(Check out their Charters) You nosy bitch! *Exit my Profile!* Oh Hai Thar Profile Stalker! ![]() ....... lots of this sort... for people whose close friends don't actually know them or don't remember them and need to be reminded by looking at the person's Profile. Profile Snoopers - for Pep - Charter is a perfect fit ![]() I'm Raping Your Profile .. and more like it .. the other side of the coin _____________________

Profiles are there to be read! If people fill them in, surely that's because they want others to read about them. If they don't want to give any info they can leave their profile blank.
If people want to control who knows about them and who doesn't, they can put their profile on a notecard and just give it to friends. |
