Can anyone venture a guess why my prim eyelashes disappear every time I cam away from my face in Snowglobe? And maybe offer a fix? My fps tripled when I switched to Snowglobe and I sure don't want to give that up, even if it means naked eyelids.
Suggestions?
(Oh, my LOD is set at 8, my graphic are on ultra)(Vista 32bit, Intell Core2 duo cpu, 3 gigs RAM, 550gig hd, Nvidia 8600geforce)
TY TY, clever folk!

I'll be interested in this answer too, as it seems that with Snowglobe, my AV disappears frequently, requiring a rebake. For example, when putting on pants, the entire lower half of the AV becomes transparent, only reappearing after rebaking.

The attachment problem is an oldie that appears to have resurfaced in 1.23.4, and if this is what you are seeing it very likely is in Snowglobe also: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8920The other issue, avatar textures going invisible until rebake, I've seen as well. I just reviewed all the JIRA snowglobe issues and don't see anything about it. (There aren't many snowglobe issues in Jira, which I'm sure means most are being handled directly in SLDev). If you see it again, take a before/after picture and make a new bug for it in Jira - or send it to me and I'll do it. .

1.23.4 and Snowglobe both are buggy with regard to anything transparent and connected to the avatar.

It could be http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13868 - there are links there for related bugs that have more examples. It's was supposed to be an anti-griefing measure that was a little too effective, they'll need to revisit it and find a different way to limit things. For now you might want to live with system lashes if Snowglobe is otherwise making things zoomy for you.

A Rebake would not even fix this problem -- had to change clothes a few times:

From: Allegria Kanto I'll be interested in this answer too, as it seems that with Snowglobe, my AV disappears frequently, requiring a rebake. For example, when putting on pants, the entire lower half of the AV becomes transparent, only reappearing after rebaking. This one is a little different, it's bugginess in the new avatar transparency mask. It affects both Snowglobe and regular 1.23, but on the same machine it can show in Snowglobe and not 1.23, or vice versa :/ Some of the related bugs: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-12906http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-14435

I'm seeing a shape problem in Snowglobe. I usually wear this: on my head. And his ears in Snowglobe float as ovals above his head, whereas in 1.23 and Cool Viewer, they look like ears.

Speaking of Snowglobe problems, has anyone had issues even downloading the Snowglobe client lately? I have been trying several times in the past couple of days to download the Linux version. Firefox will get about 8% into the download before the download speed falters and dies and the download fails. I've had to resort to using wget, which doesn't time out like Firefox's download manager does. So far, it is hung at 9%, reporting 0kb/s, except for an occasional short burst of data.
Is it just the Linux version? Or is s3.amazonaws.com serious hosed? It's not responding to pings either.
Edit: Well, ain't THAT nice! I just downloaded the Windows version without any problem at all, so it appears to be a problem with the Linux version itself - or that particular download site can't properly handle bz2 files...
