TP issues

I am curious if it is just me or something over the grid with others...


I am having issues tping.... I have to try like 3 times before it takes... consistant to and within my own sim or to other places.

I couldn't either. Logged off and back on, but problem persisted.

Logged off... piddled around for twenty minutes... problem solved.

I never realized piddling resolved issues.

I'll have to piddle more often.

i like using the TP after i piddle too..
i hate when my brother logs a lot though..so much tp resources

Guys don't use TP after they piddle.

But I also sit down when I piddle.

So maybe I'm NOT a guy! O.o

More likely... a guy with more brains than most... who understands the physics of falling water and splashing.

That would be a discussion I'd love to get into... why do RL guys insist on standing when they pee?

If I can only find some way to connect it to SL.

I think standing while peeing is an automatic thing .... it's pointed down so men don't have to use much thought or energy to find a place to go..they just stand there like lumps and let it 'rain' down..of course they could twirl (that's where the oscillating sprinkler system was born!)

Yes, I am having problems with teleports....and with purchases. grrr.

But not with the splashies and drops?

I've had problems with teleports for some time now. I sent in a support ticket to LL and I got the answer back that it was most likely a problem with my connection (LL's cop-out answer when they don't want to admit that they have no idea what the problem is). Some claim it to be a problem with router's but I do not believe this to be the case since I do not use a router to connect to SL. Some would undoubtedly attribute the problem to internet connection, but I am on a 50mb internet connection - one of the fastest connections you can get - and I still get the problem.

One thing that I have identified is that this problem seems to be on LL's end. The reason for such thoughts is that the problem seems to be bad at what you might call 'peak times'. On some occasions it has taken me no less than 25 attempts to teleport from one location to another even though the region I was in and the region I was going to was relatively lag-free.
Also, I have found that the problem is likely to occur most when you're traveling to a sim where there is the potential for high lag, even if you were traveling from a sim with no lag at all.

This is not a problem with our connections. It is a problem with LL's servers.

HA....I had TP issues for three weeks, ticket after ticket in to LL to no avail, and finally found the solution....Change to a low prim hair!

After a week of TPing with low prim hair (first time, every time) I was able to go back to my usual 213 prim hair and TP first time.

You may not believe it, but do give it a try anyway

are you using their viewer..god i feel like that is the only thing i ever say when i hear similar problems i've had in the past lol..

i lost probably 60 no make that 80% of my headaches when i switched to the nicholas viewer ..
now the cool viewer i hear is really good to..
i still had bad memory leaks with the new client and it was like i was out of air and couldn't breath until i went back to the one i am using now..

I'm on the LL Release Client. This is because I'm on a mac and there aren't really any descent viewers out there for mac. Though this is being steadily worked on. Just a matter of waiting.

I'm also on a Mac (iMac / 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) and tried the Cool Viewer in the hope that it would solve some intermittent crashing. Unfortunately it didn't solve the issue so I went back to using the Linden release.

The software dance is always two steps forward and one step back.

How else can we aim at that disinfectant thing that women hang in the bowl?

you are not suppose to aim at those..my two nephews do that when they come over..
i would tell them and tell them to stop hitting the freshener..
they say it smells good when they hit is..
now that i moved it to the front of the bowl i don't have that problem anymore.
