(Large) mainland mountains?

While wandering around I came across the mountains in Heterocera Atoll, which surprised me when I first saw them. Most of the mainland is low elevations or smaller mountains so this was a nice change.

My question: are there any other mainland areas with mountains of this scale (150m - 200m+)? Or is this a unique piece of geography?

There are some pretty high peaks in the snowlands, around Arosa and Kanin they get to 300 or so.

there's a hill in the middle of my land in Healy.. of course it's only about 15m tall, but it feels like a mountain while I'm trying to build a store.

I always thought Tethys was one of the coolest mainland sims (and oldest). It has some really great terrafoming.

Mari, I really do think you should write something like the Baedecker's Guide to Second Life. You always seem to know exactly the right place to go to! That's one book I would definitely buy, especially if written by you *g*

(I know, I know; it would need constant revisions, but still...)

It could be an occasionally-updated website. It doesn't have to be updated every day. Like maybe once a month or so.

Well... those three places wouldn't need too much revision -- each is Linden Land.

An I have toyed with th' idea of writing up some of my favorite mainland treks. There's some paths I dearly love. :-)

There was a big rocky moutain on the western edge of Gaeta when it was first opened up, but I think it got quarried away by LL.
