Skins don't have height, and that isn't tall at all for SL.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

try searching for skins, in world, on slexchange, and onrez

instead of asking where they are, exhaust your resources first

(it is difficult to suggest skins for ppl, as each person is unique and have varying tastes)
good luck on your hunt for skin

PS learn to play with the sliders and you can make your own shape exactly how you want it.
hehe

HAHA thts a good one i should have placed that information above with the breast size, but thnx very much you gave a good chuckle.

I've really looked all through SLX and Inworld i find something that looks good and then are not happy with the makeup or the shape of the face lol, i've found many lovely skins and shapes but they r just not me i guess i'll just have too keep searching then:).

Thnx for all your help though:)

Serina,

Search the forum here. There are many discussions of skins, with lots of suggestions of places to look. Celestial Studios, Minnu, Cake, RAC, Nomine, and Second Skin Labs, just to name a few. ALWAYS try the demo. Skins are expensive, and not returnable.

Shapes...I made my own, and so do a lot of people. Just experiment with the sliders until you have something you like. It may help to get one of those "proportions" drawings that art students use, to have as a handy reference.

Once you find a skin you like, you will probably have to tweak your shape to get it to look its best. This is yet another reason to try demo skins...if you are very fond of your shape, you may want to search until you find a skin that looks good on it.

You can't conflate the two concepts. A skin will affect the way a shape looks, and a vice versa. Your skin isn't "too tall," that is your body shape. It is your skin that has makeup, not your shape. Your shape is the size and proportions of your features. Skin is a covering.

Honestly, I think you need to buy the skin first, and then fix the shape of your face/body to it, if you don't already have a shape you like. If you are dead set on a certain shape, start buying demos.

I made my own shape and that dictated how I reacted to the skin. I have a strong aversion to "Joker lips" for example - where the lips look like they are on The Joker from Batman. And a lovely skin from Celestial Studios made my alt look like it had Joker lips. A huge no-no, not when so many other skins out there didn't do that. Now, I could have bought the skin and changed my shape to fit it. But by this point, I was attached enough to the shape and had seen enough skins handle it well enough that I would pass.

That's definitly a way that works for me too - I purchased a skin from RAC, about 15 months ago now and have adjusted my own shape.

Take your time finding a skin you are really happy with Serina and then see how you go tweaking your own shape. Have fun! :)

Do you find that you have to do much adjustment to make a shape and skin fit together properly other than the face?

I've felt that the lips didn't fit my mouth many times, and the eye makeup didn't fit the eyes, on skins.

I've not noticed a problem with the rest the skin but maybe I wasn't paying much attention.

I'll suggest the "Skins: Female" thread in the gallery forum.

When it comes to shape......wow it's really hard to suggest some. My shape was free in a Calla gift pack, not there anymore. I've changed it a lot, so you really need a shape that you can modify.

This blog has some skins review too: http://www.sexysecond.com/blog/

Since you look for not expensive skins, try to read some of the blogs that blog free stuff? This blog has some suggestions for good skins up to 300 L as well as the free ones:

Did anybody advise buying demos yet? :)
