Right near my home there is this blue burst going off. Then I got teleported elsewhere, and again this burst of blue light. I went right up to it and was able to highlight it in transparent. Are these all over SL, or what? Maybe I'm being followed...   |

Well, maybe it's also some kind of griefing device. After all, something caused your region to be offline right now. if you see the thing again, maybe share the coordinates with us so that we can have a look at the mysterious blue flash.

It's not on my sim. I've just seen two and I'm wondering what it is. Probably some kind of "device" as one is over a store that would sell that kind of stuff.
Two locations (if you are sitting/standing on it) -
Granada 127, 55, 131
Hanson 104, 4, 158

It appears to be a particle emitter, could be for griefing or just someone playing around. If it is not following you, just sitting there emitting the blue glow, it is probably just the result of someone experimenting with particles. At the center of the glow should be a prim with a script in it that is emitting the particles. If you want to learn more about particles go to the Particle Laboratory in Teal, lots of lessons and free scripts there.

Did you get teleported or did you teleport on your own? If the former, it may be a particle emitting security orb.
