Does anyone know of any good stores where I can find a big, black hooded robe. Something along the lines of what Death would wear?

There is a fantastic cloak called 'Cloak of the Crow' on Xstreet SL, and it's free:

I don't have one, because it's not my style, but the Bobbysocks Shoppe has cloaks. I have several of their other products (boots, clothes, hats) and I've been impressed with their work.

A search for "gorean" can help. Gorean assassins wear black robes/hoods. Try shops with roleplay/medieval theme.

My first thoughts would be the marketplace at Avilion (TONS of hooded robes in all colors and styles, including black), RFyre (just saw some at their satellite store at Caliber, but definitely their main store as well) and as noted above, most any Gorean marketplace.
