How do you get rid of spam stuck between sims?

I have parcel on the edge of a sim, and for weeks now a jet has been left parked partially on my parcel and partially on the neighboring sim's parcel. I cannot return the jet. I've tried IM-ing the owner, but he doesn't respond. I've tried asking the neighbor to remove it, but he can't either. I've AR'd it, but LL doesn't respond. Now, someone else has decided the jet is an eyesore, so they've placed their own eye sore around it (a large green rectangle). I've IM'd the owner of the large green rectangle, but get no response.

Any ideas how I can get this spam off my land?

Maybe you can push it? Using a push weapon or some such. Likely not, but worth a try.

I'm no expert here, but it seems to me that thing has to be counted as a prim on *someone's* property. Spam objects are fairly low on the AR scheme, I'm sure, you may have to submit a couple of them to get a response.

you may need to reboot/restart both sims.

Create a prim and turn on physical. Use it to push the jet to your parcel. And you can return it.

I did this before on a plane stuck in my neighbor's parcel.

Hmm. There might be a bug here.

But first things first: That big green rectangle thing: surely either you or the neighbor can return *that*, right?

Once that's out of the way, edit the jet and identify its Owner.

While you're in the Editor, see if it has a root prim that's some distance removed from the rest of the object, and over some land other than yours or the neighbor's.

Assuming the jet doesn't have such a remote root prim, it "should" be over either your or the neighbor's parcel, and therefor it "should" appear with that Owner named in About Land / Objects (after a Refresh) for one or the other parcel. If it doesn't, then either it's a ghost prim that should disappear after the sims are restarted (but "for weeks now" suggests it survived the last rolling restarts for server 1.26), or it's weird enough to be worth writing up in a jira, on the premise that it got hung up in a handoff from one sim to another and was stranded in the departing sim but with coordinates outside that sim's range.

(I don't know that this is even possible for objects, but it happened to my own avatar just a couple days ago, when I moved into a sim that was crashing. Much hilarity ensued.)

Yeh, I knew someone who had a really loud car dumped on the ocean floor and couldn't get it removed by reporting it, we did at least mute it for the sound.

Thanks for all the advice!

My neighbor in the the next sim and I are now working on this together. Turns out the person who put the green rectangle lives in yet another sim and hated the plane so she put up her rectangle. Yes, this is all near a corner of 4 sims, but only spans 2 of them. And technically, it's a corner of 3 sims. Anyway, doesn't matter.

The green rectangle is gone, the owner removed it. We've located the root prim and it lies just over a parcel that is in my sim, but is owned by a group. Autoreturn is off on that parcel. As such, it gets littered with lots of crap, but mostly they're all either under water or high in the sky. However, we can't find any names associated with that group.

So now all three of us (neighbor in other sim, green rectangle lady in third sim) have IM'd the owner of the jet, who may or may not speak English (Lots of French groups) and is less than three months old. Of course, I tried that several times already, but maybe getting IMs from three people might work.

If that fails, we'll all three start filing ARs.

(The push thing doesn't seem to work no matter how I try it, because the entire jet appears to be phantom, with a invisible canopy over the cockpit.)

Thanks for everyone's help!

One thing you can do with neighbouring land that has autoreturn set to 0 and where the owner has been gone from SL for sometime, is to create a whole bunch of tiny prims upto to parcel limit and stick them underground on the the parcel out of sight. Ive done this on a number of occasions and whenever the owner has returned then they been pretty good about it.

Also as well, the key to getting objects removed quickly is to use the magic word in your filing. "Is an abandoned object at XY that seems to be causing quite a bit of LAG for xxxx reason."

/me tries to picture something being at the corner of 3 regions but not 4.

Is this a private island? If so, you'll probably have better luck asking an estate manager to return it vs asking LL to do it...

I don't think the ideas above about pushing it will work unless it's set to physical. Non-physical prims cannot be pushed.

Don't file an AR, just file a support request. It will probably be gone within 24 hours after you do that.

The "fourth" sim at the corner is not a sim at all, but open ocean. We're at the southeast edge of Sansara, just southwest of South Islandia, if that makes any sense.

The jet is gone as of a few hours ago. Methinks the owner finally came and took it back after getting IM'd by 3 people.

Thanks for all the advice!
