Am I the only male who feels that when he puts on new shoes or boots that they look as if theyre the wrong way round ?
How is it that even the best footwear looks as if the maker couldnt tell the difference between left and right ?
And how is it girls can seem to slip into new footwear so easily?
Incidentally if anyone's seen any nifty WHITE boots or shoes please let me know.
It seems a hard task finding good mens shoes and wanting 'em in white seems to limit the choice further in a world that, as far as males are concerned, seems over dominated by black clothing.

/me contemplates new business as personal shopper.... https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=926294https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1322129https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1294617BF has super cool white goth suit I got him a couple of Christamses ago - he wears some cool white shoes with- I will ask him about the shoes for you. I would think the worse part about men's shoes is the fact that they look as if you could sleep in them they are so huge at times. Boots fare better but of course you cannot wear boots with everything!

Embrace your inner goth and everything will be okay. =^-^=
Heh. (^_^)
Really, I think it's a combination of builder laziness and the want to be an Internet Tough Guy©®™. Figure, since the girls run around underdressed with hairdos that would topple Sears Tower, guys gotta follow suit by looking like steroid loaded ugh-thugs. (^_^)
I know, not all... But, if I weren't telling the truth, this question wouldn't have been raised. =^-^=
For shoes, it's usually because it's easier simply to make a shoe, copy it, and attach it to both feet. We have only had sculpt mirroring for the last few client versions. So, sculpt shoe making was left to the better builders that probably saw a larger market in women's fashion. (^_^)
As a suggestion, try looking for gender-neutral shoes instead of looking specifically for men's wear. There are plenty of shoes to be found that would probably look fine on a guy even though they don't specifically say "Men's" in the description. Don't worry. You won't be strolling into the pannie section. We won't giggle, too loudly. (^_^)y

There are some decent guys shoes out there, but you have to look carefully.
Some of my favorites are... Cattivo (engineer boots) Shiny Things (more boots) SF Designs (lots of good biker boots) Truth (I like their sneakers) HOC (awesome formal shoes and super cheap)

Shiny Things' shoes are excellent. I know this for sure, because I've even been complimented on a pair (their black "Murphys" by a woman, and I know that women know their shoes. There's even a pair of good near-white shoes there, but, like Wallace, I lack the right trousers to go with them - good ones, anyway. Seriously, there's no need to go around in massive boots, looking like Frankstein's monster, but like anything with men's clothes, it takes some legwork. If you'll pardon the pun.

Additionally, starting in (I think) 1.20, there is the 'mirror' option on creating sculpties - and I have seen that used a lot in shoes. Then, if I log in using an older viewer, one of the shoes will look reversed to me.
