I turned on the 'view property lines' because I was rejoining 2 pieces I owned and
discovered to my amazement that I no longer had a rectangular piece of property and when I called up the size I was 256 sq m short.
HOWEVER, there are 2 linden maintenance pieces which ajoin mine that are 256 sq m. and 32 sq m. respectively and ' if they were mine' I would again have a rectangular piece of property.

I have no way of proving this since my 'buys' are long gone and I didn't keep hard copy.
What, if anythiing can I do?

I've noticed this lately, the DPW (Department of Public Works) has been quietly reclaiming land deemed necessary for the development of roads and boat passage between sims in water parcels.
Does this triangle carved out of your parcel serves as link between 2 larger Linden parcels?

SLeminent domain?

i would hope it was an error because if it were taken without, at the least, informing you of what and why, it would be a very underhanded move. definitely file that ticket and post back here what you find out. it might be a good idea if other people take a look at their borders as well.

Next to my home there was a large sign on an ad plot that violated TOS (now removed). One of the reasons I didn't get involved was because of the complexity of the parcel boundaries I was worried all my stuff might be accidentally deleted! Having once purchased a small plot of land at an exorbitant price after selecting the wrong plot in error myself, I'm aware of the risks involved.

Kudos to LL, I put in a ticket and in about 2 days I got an email that said they couldn't find out what happened, but they were deeding me the two parcels. Now I am whole again.

THANKS LINDEN LABS.

I would be absolutely astonished if there was any less satisfactory resolution.
(Well, barring them just losing the ticket or something, but not policy-wise.)

LL does some dumb things, but FFS they don't go around stealing land!

I would like to report that I have been receiving EXCELLENT customer service response on my mainland adfarm/crap tickets. They are taking this aspect of the mainland improvement very seriously as far as I can tell.
