Ad-Farm Evolution XD

Some months ago I posted about an irritating ad farm that was near my land it was like 20 meters height, with a temp rezzer, and it was in the limit between xx and xxx in a PG area.

I sent a ticke and AR'ed it. Stating that it was using a temp rezzer, therefore generating lag. And it was showing pics of naked girls in a PG area. Of course LL reply was 'There's nothing we can do about it, but I tell it to you in a polite way' kind of 'solution'.

So I decided call all the surrounding neighbours and they helped putting some trees to cover it, it was well covered, BUT.... LL removed them saying it was interfeering with the Ad Farm....

After that I received some threating messages by Cytherea...a really bad person, I have all those IM's saved in text and in picture, but I will not show them here.

All this was like 4 months ago....and only two weeks ago:

I don't know if it is LL's new ad farm policy, but I'm really happy that, that ugly ad farm is out, and now we have a precious Cactus!!! Weee!

Lol. Wish the vacating adfarmers here would put up something fun like that. Most have just left empty plots set for sale at four digit prices.

I wish mine would just vacate. I don't care whether their land is for sale or not since I'm not interested in buying it. I'd just be happier if the green glowing particle-spewing monstrosity and the (admittedly tame in comparison) other fullbright ad tower next to it would just vanish.

Come 1 Oct, I shall be definitely ARing them again if they aren't gone.

I suspect they'll all be gone, if Jack keeps them guessing as to what exactly the Oct 1 deadline means (if it's even still a deadline--his revised policy blog post doesn't clealy restate it, and changes absolutely everything else about that first post).

Surely their sinister little minds are scheming up contingency plans. But most of them are acting to remove their ads for now--it's not as if they had real advertisers to keep happy.

But in the interim, putting the parcels for sale at high prices is probably not the swiftest move, assuming they ever plan on doing business in SL in the future.

CE and her alts is/are a nasty piece of work who should be tied to stakes so that vultures can pick their bones clean.

Actually the land was sold and the new buyer put that lovely cactus.

How do you know when land has been abandoned?

What is Ad-Farm Evolution XD ? I know about ad farms but haven't heard of the XD version?

I have some atrocious spinning Zyngo sign in my home land area- yuck is that AR'able?

When it is abandoned, what happens to the land? My property is surrounded by potential adfarm-orama. There are so many micro-plots up for sale, I've been wondering if some will be abandoned in the future and what's going to happen to them.

If your land borders any of those parcels on 3 sides, or 2 sides if they are Linden roadside parcels, file a support ticket and they'll sell you the parcel directly for L$1/sq.m.

If you don't border them on enough sides, ask nicely anyway and see what happens. And ask them, if they won't sell to you directly, to combine the parcels into a larger lot and put it in the auction queue. Preferably after October 1, when the new rules for adfarmers go into effect.

Governor will give it to a landbot for free.
It happened 2 days ago to an abandoned 1024 bay city plot at docklands (worth 300k) close to my land, they sold it for 1 l$ to a landbot instead of auction it, now it have a cube in the middle and buy pass lines all around.

Good god. I swear: somebody in Concierge is just *trying* to make Bay City a failure. But why?

becouse several of the ad farner/extorstionist are Concierge Level and sped 6 to 8 hours on the phone to LL
