Warning: No questions in this post and it is an advertisement but not for me. It is also posted in the wrong place to add insult to injury. Wish I could think of a couple more infractions to throw at it (hint, hint! If anyone has a lolcat and organ pic) :p

Help with particles and a good particle generator are frequent questions here in the forums. Recently there have also been threads concerning the demise of fantastic and irreplaceable builds. I saw something the other day that is kind of a fusion of those two thoughts.

Anyone that has ever been to The Particle Laboratory and explored a bit has noticed Jopsy Pendragon's Particle Organ stuck off in a corner. I know every time I went I would push a button or two and was always disappointed when it did not work for me. Well Jopsy has finally started to sell what he calls the "porgan" now. I would have bought one anyways even if it was a piece of cr*p just to help pay back for all the good that Jopsy has unselfishly given to the community over the years. During the dwell era I am sure that Jopsy was coming out on the plus side for his investment in land, although there would be no way he could ever be compensated for the time he has put in it. But now The Particle Laboratory would have to be financed solely by donations, texture purchases and any other investments he has in SL.

I have never heard Jopsy once ask for money or express any concerns, for all I know he may even be SL rich but if you like gadgets and particles or just want to pay him back for his considerable charity over the years you might want to check it out.

Now as for the porgan itself. I was a little put off by it at first, it was not what I expected and didn't seem very "intuitive" at first and I much preferred my freebie Particle Magic but I hung in there and continued to play. Now it seems much more natural and I would hate to go back to using anything else. More importantly I am beginning to see the importance of working with what he calls "chords", groups of 2-3 particle effects to make one whole effect. I always liked my scripts and shunned particles unless absolutely necessary, but I must say that I have experienced a huge jump in "particle intelligence" in the last week of playing with it. I am creating much more striking effects then I would have thought possible now.

Jopsy is THE shiznit. :D

Yes, you heard it from me here first. He is the ORIGINAL, REAL McCOY SHIZNIT!

Anyone who hasn't been to the Particle Laboratory, his Fireworks show, or his stellarium just has not seen the best of Second Life.

Seriously.

Go there.

Now.

or remain forever unfulfilled in your Second Life! O.o

I remain unfulfilled.

And yet, oddly, fulfilled.

How is that possible?

He helped me a long time ago. One of my residents was griefed with a Temp rezzor located on her land, i wasn't smart enough to locate the source....but Jopsy sorted it out for us. I have purchased several of his Streetlamps since then

A very nice Guy...and very smart too!

There was chanting of how godlike and blessed Jopsy is in the Particle Lab group chat just a couple of days ago. I didn't have logging turned on, or I'd quote it. :(

And now, your prerequisite lolcat.
