How to fix this?

I've submitted a ticket, but given the track record of Lindens actually paying attention, I figure I might get quicker answers here.

I recently updated the sl viewer. When I appear inworld and try to put on any jacket anywhere in the world, my pants turn white. When I put on any teeshirt, my arms and hands appear to be completely covered in whatever color the teeshirt is. I've tried rebaking, going into appearance, defragging my system, restarting, relogging, taking everything off and putting back on again, clearing my cache, and so far nothing is working.

If I want to wear clothes, I have to have white pants and I have to look like I'm wearing gloves and long sleeves.

How do I fix this?

Edit: here's a couple of images so you know what I'm talking about.

Most likely by switching to an earlier version of video driver. There are threads on this in these forums already. I don't have an url handy, but if you search for logical keywords you will find them.

You should provide system specs.

You're using an nVidia card with up to date drivers, right?

I'm not seeing any unwanted white in that picture. I see black.

I installed the latest drivers for my card last night. It's an e-GeForce 8500 GT graphics card. This problem just started happening last night.

Like I said, switch to an earlier version of video driver.

You can use the forum search to find the threads with the version information.

Or just read the thread titles one by one till you find one of them. Someone is bound to have started one with a useful title instead of something like "Help Please".

Then you should revert back to the 175.xx nVidia drivers. The newer drivers from nVidia have this problem.
