I may know the answer to this already....just wondering if anyone else got these odd teleport failures....
I looked something up in search....found what I wanted and TP'd.....only I didn't tp....instead I got a messege that I could not TP because I did not have permission to enter the region~!! Doh!
It was a public spa....there was something I wanted form their shops.....I tried several times....then I started thinking...OMG, it's a mature region...has my age verification been borked somehow........ then I thought....oh, maybe that region is going thru the rolling update that was on the blog yesterday. But it was a very weird messege....not region down...or region full....or could not complete, try again later......but 'you are not permitted access". Has anyone experienced this?
I was able to tp to several other places just fine.....and some were mature so it obviously wasn't anything to do with my verification status (whew). Perhaps the region has changed to something private and the adds haven't been changed.....but still. The other thing that worried me was if this is due to the Havk4 integration update.....does it mean we'll no longer be able to use the RC viewer (being the windlight fanatic that I am.....this would just ruin my day lol)

The only time I have gotten a message like that, an ex partner had banned me from a sim.

They might be restricting the region to a group or something like that?

The sim could have "public access" unchecked in the estate tools, or the entire sim is one parcel that has access restriction turned on. (I think you get an entirely different message when you're banned by name) They could be remodelling, repricing, closed for group-only, private event etc... would also help to actually name the place so if someone feels like it they can try to tp there and see if it's restricted for them as well

The most likely explanation is that the Estate manager for the sim made a Big Mistake(TM) and completely by accident closed the region to all but a group. You might IM anybody who looks like they might be an official of the business there, to let them know about it, but Traffic and sales will soon enough be a clue, I'd expect. Barring some SL bizarreness associated with the Havoc4 roll-out and the ever ominous "the sim you are entering is running a different version" message, another explanation is that you've been Very Bad(TM) and explicitly banned from the region. (While this may seem unlikely, just the rumor may help your reputation. ... You're welcome. ) Mature doesn't imply age-restricted. It *is* possible to age-restrict an entire sim. I don't know what kind of message one gets when barred from an age-restricted sim (but when trying to enter an age-restricted Mainland parcel, it's a very different message from that). Oh, and to the other question: I've run the latest RC in Havoc4 regions just fine. (If *that* didn't work, the LL release manager would be on the job market now, I think!)

"Not permitted to enter this region" could mean:
Age verification is enabled, and you are not verified... BUT if that is the case it also gives you a link to where you can verify. So that isn't it. I tested this once with an alt, to see how turning age verification on for a whole sim would affect the ability to TP in... The alt always got a clear message that the denial was dur to age verification being required.
So, it most likely means that access at the point you tried to TP to is access-restricted in some way. For example, the TP location you selected is restricted to a certain group. I have seen this happen when I am in a sim that is under construction, and parcel access sim-wide was restricted only to the sim owner's group, but the sim itself was still public access. So it could mean that for some reason, they turned on a group access restriction on that parcel.
Try to TP to other coordinates in the same sim, or if it has an adjacent sim, try to TP to just across the border.

Thanks guys...
I actually did try to tp to another area on the sim....and I got the same messge....but I think the booboo theory may be correct.....because I also noticed when I looked at the adds for this sim (there were about 5 related to the spa....and it's advertised as being public) the traffic in every case was 0 lol ZERO. So...yeah.... I bet someone did indeed goof on the permissions for the land. oops lol
(ps, no I wasn't bad I promise...I've never even been to that sim lol)

I've had that happen trying to go to a SIM that was completely closed except to the owner (Kinda silly if you ask me but hey, your island your choice ya know?)
Oddly never had it happen otherwise though.. whenever I try to TP to just a single parcel that is not open to me, it teleports me to a nearby one. Apparently the limit is within the SIM though.

Thanks Arch...
But...I can pretty much promise I'm not on the ban list LOL And seeing as the traffic is zero across the board on the land.....I'm guessing either they are making big changes...or someone totally goofed.

Another theory:

I had this happen to me a few times yesterday, most of the destinations in question ones I had reached previous that day. I found relogging to my home location and trying again worked in most cases.

This happened to me a few times when the sim owners were shutting down business for a few days to completely revamp everything. So they shut off access to folks until they were done.
