Why can't I find my group in search?

I can't find my group in search. S.A.M Creations. I put "Show in Search" on the group. Is it because the group is new? I just created it today. I need the link for it for a script.

You just spammed it anyway, and it probably takes a few days for it to show up. Mine did.

Also Alyssa, be sure someone else (an alt is ok) joins the group soon. Groups will be deleted and you cannot get the name back if there isn't more than one member within 48 hours of being created.

It should show in the Groups tab immediately, but it takes a day or three to show in the All search.

Umm... What link? If you mean the URL to the group info page, won't it be just the group's UUID preceded by "http://world.secondlife.com/group/" when it's finally created? And to get the group's UUID, couldn't you just put a script like this:

default
{
    touch_start(integer total_number)
    {
        llWhisper(0, (string)llGetOwner());
    }
}

into an object, deed it to Group, and touch it?

Or is something else needed?

Nope... just need the link for the pop-up message so the person can click the link for the group invite.

I dont know how to get the UUID of a group that's not listed in search. Looks like you'll have to wait a day.

Unless I'm still not understanding what you're after, it's just the group's UUID (obtained as I describe above), but embedded in a URI a la "secondlife:///app/group/e7066f34-e9cc-628d-ae37-d536981a7dfd/about" (for Qie Labs' UUID).

Is there a setting to get the old groups tab with un-hacked SL 1.21 and 1.22? All I can get from those is the new HTML group search.
