Is it me or are textures loading incredibly slowly?.
I visited a few stores today and after several minutes 90% of the stores where still grey. I gave up in the end so those shops lost potential sales through no fault of their own.

No. Not just textures.
The whole of SL is like sh*t through a funnel for the last few days. textures load slow, texturing prims even slower. _____________________

Me too. I went to one unfortunate store with displays that gradually rotate the textures, but long before the last one ever came into focus a new one would come in all gray.

I've had the same problem. Was in a store Tuesday and the textures were very very slow loading on the displays.
Since I wasn't in any hurry, I just sat in a chair and waited. Finally after about 20minutes the textures began to load. Oh yeah! I was the only one one the sim at the time. _____________________

Texture loading is slower than ever since about last weekend. It's a royal pain, espeially in shops.

Yup, I've noticed it too. This morning, while buying a bed I found that playing around with the draw distance - increasing and decreasing it, seemed to help the textures finally load.

I think they're ramping up LLNET right now. The problems this week could just be growing pains and tweaking.

Textures and avatars do seem to be taking longer and longer to load. Apart from that, SL performance seems to be improving.

I haven't noticed any big problems, I'm so use to going afk for 10 minutes when I enter a shop while I wait for it to load. Maybe it's just gotten worse by very small increments so I got use to it.

I think it has to do with the rolling restarts or something. It's not only the textures, but practically everything: connection (loses connection randomly), inventory loading speed, attachment loading speed, highly increased chance your item won't rez or get eaten by SL permanently, or unable to teleport. It makes you wonder what these rolling restarts are even about if they create much more problems.
