Why do you suppose I can't minimize?

I don't like to play SL in windowed mode, and I'm used to minimizing whenever I want to by pressing that key with the windows logo on it.

Well, for some reason that has stopped working. What happens is the SL screen kind of flickers, especially at the bottom, like it's trying to minimize but can't. So now I have to get off the game instead of minimize.

Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this? Could I have accidentally changed some setting or something?

Thanks in advance,

coco

I don't mean to hijack your thread but, if I can manually minimize my screen by dragging the bottom right corner, does that mean I am playing SL in windowed mode? (I know, I know - the problem is 12 inches in front of my screen) So how does one play in 'full screen'? I tried search but the words are too common... (or see problem above).

Again, sorry Cocoanut, just seemed like the right time to ask. :o

On my machine I can toggle SL between full-screen mode and windowed mode by pressing Alt Enter, in addition to setting the mode in Preferences Graphics.

On your SL shortcut, the one you use to start SL with, you can right click the shortcut and select Properties, then click the Shortcut tab. The "Run" dropdown list lets you set the default mode for the program to start in: Normal Window, Minimized, or Maximized.

When you run in windowed mode, if SL is not filling up the space on the screen fully you can click the Maximize icon near the top right of the screen, rather than having to manually resize the window by dragging.

Command + tab to switch between programs, as Suzanne has suggested, and Alt + Return to switch between full screen/in-a-window resolution in SL. :)
