Hey guys! I'm a newbie to Secondlife and have been foolin around lately with trying to create some clothing of my own. Before I did all that tho, I did go around and bought some linden to buy some clothing and skins to make my av presentable in the meantime. Well, being the noob I am, I uploaded my first creation today, a top, and went to try it out in edit appearance. By mistake, I edited a the fabric of a top I had purchased with linden dollars, and now I can't get the top I purchased back/viewable. Is this making sense? Sorry, I'm new and trying to put it into plain english Is there a way I can reverse my boo-boo and change the top back to what it was when I purchased it? In the future I realize I need to take off what I'm already wearing, and start from scratch I really loved the top I purchased (was actually part of a dress set I purchased from diversity called refresh.), and would like to have that outfit back to normal! Thanks in advance

hmm, if you can find the original texture you should be able to re-apply it in "edit appearance" mode in place of the texture you uploaded.

I thought Id try that and haven't had any luck, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. The folder that contains all the clothing I purchased that I accidentally changed only shows one texture in that mode, and it's just a JPG image of the 3 dresses being modeled by SL avs.
Are the fabrics for the outfits held in a different folder?

If the outfit was modifyable, and you edited the texture for the clothing item, you ruined that copy. Nothing you can do will recover it, if you saved the changes. If you did NOT save the changes yet, then remove the clothing item and tell it not to save changes. When you put it back on, it should be fine.
Most modifyable clothing is also copyable and no-transfer. It is wise to make a copy, and then play with the copy. If you don't have a copy, however, you'll have to ask the clothing creator for help.
