Despite out best efforts something unexpected has gone wrong. And I was able to log in for a small time period between the two non-loggable time periods.

I'd start with shutting the computer, modem, router, etc. completely off for a few minutes and turning them back on.

this is sl it has it's own issues and is very demanding on a system..
you may be able to log to a browser but not sl..
it used to happen to me a lot until i switched to the nicholis viewer..
memory has a lot to do with connections
