Gestures

Hey, I wonder if anyone can help me, I'm trying to make a gesture, with a certain animation I have in my inventory, but when I go to put the animation in it, it does not show up under the pull down box. Is there a way that I can put this animation into a gesture?

Any animation or sound used in a gesture must have full permissions.. Mod/Copy/Transfer. If it is not full permission then it will not show on the list and you cannot use it.

Kinda stinks but that is the way of it.

Thanks, that just means I need to find a copy of the animation 'bliss' which is a kind of sub animation. I need to find it full perms... Can anyone help me do that?

Does anyone know where I can find the pose named 'Bliss' with full permissions?

I tried that yesterday, but still have not gotten a reply. Ideally, I would like to use the pose in a gesture to kneel at my Mistress' feet. That way I don't have to have the animation window up all the time, I would just be able to type /sit. hehe

The creator isn't necessarily going to be in SL every day and/or may not have time to get to every request when they are. It's also possible his or her IMs were capped...try dropping them a notecard and then have a little patience.

Alternatively, if you have an AO, you could probably add it as your sit.

Well, I do have an AO that I mostly customized myself, and I put it in as the 'ground sit' animation, but I can't seem to get it to work right. I need for it to be able to be used without depending on the envirnment.

Try putting it in as the regular sit.

Wouldn't that still require me to interact with something to sit on? I know that the regular sit that I have in my AO right now usually overrides poseballs that I use to sit on. If I replace my Sit animation with Bliss, will it enable met to sit without interacting with the environment or chairs?

If there's a floor (prim), that should be the surface you interact with. The only issue might be with the avatar's relative hip position...you may float, which is why I said 'try.'

Yes, that is true, but then many times, it will give me a message saying that I cannot sit there at all. I am trying to find a solution for every situation, so to speak. I mean, I have kneel poses built into my collar, but not all sims allow script, so I needed a backup, hence the reason I turned to my animations and so far I can use the animation itself in any situation without a problem. I just want to make it where it is easier/faster to use at a moment's notice, you know what I mean?

The gesture would probably be your best bet, I was just suggesting options in case you can't get a hold of the creator for a while or s/he doesn't want to alter the perms.

I think a lot of the collar anims are full perms...if you like one of those, maybe you could pull a copy out and use it for your gesture instead?

Oh, lol well, thanks, when I get off work, I will search the creator's picks to see if I can find where the animation might be sold, to see if there is a full perm version that has been released. If I find that my search is fruitless, I shall create and send a notecard to the creator and see what I can do.

I usually try to be resourceful when I do things, that way I can make sure I do them right. I just wanted to get as much information as I could and see if anyone else out there reading this happens to have or know where to aquire a full perm copy of the animation and would be able to help me out. I will be sending that notecard to the creator before I go to sleep tonight. Thanks for your help.
