Broken Audio?

Is Sound broken this morning? Checked all my settings and can't seem to get any sound from anywhere in SL today. Anyone else with this issue? Just curious if it's me or really SL.

Edited to say, it's streaming music that seems to be borked for me...ambient and added sounds are working.

Does the problem still persist after restarting your Viewer?
I run into this from time to time. And restarting the viewer always seems to help. I have called Linden Labs about this before and they tell me that sometimes the cache gets wonky and the link to the stream becomes unavailable.
I have seen some intermittent problems with Sl all night.. Not sure whats up but have been running into Stale transactions and other small issues like Users on estate ban not being banned and able to still enter the region . Very strange stuff thru the night

Yes, I've restarted my viewer as well as rebooting. Tried various streams...I suppose it is just a glitch right now. Thanks for your reply, however.

Did you make any recent changes to your system (such as upgrading or removing packages)?

I occasionally run into problems like this and sometimes NOTHING will work at all, even restarting the viewer and rebooting the system. I just ignore it and assume that it'll be back to normal in a day or so. In those cases I just grab the URL for the stream (most DJs will be happy to give that to you, or if you have the Advanced and Admin menus both open you can see it for yourself) and listen via I-tunes.

How do you see it? I'm having trouble with streaming also and would like to use external program to hear.

The only time I use the SL voice chat is for a situation like a language class I am taking. It is generally ok, but today it was working fine then it just quit working. A few seconds later I got the "voice connected" message again and all was fine. If you're talking about overall sound...that is usually ok.

For speaking to certain people privately while on SL, I recommend a third party system such as Yahoo, Skype, etc. The sound quality on those, for me, has been much better.
