2000 items missing.

I'm not sure exactly how or when it happened but many of my items are missing. I figured reloging would help but they are still gone, including the whole objects folder. help.

The typical answer for this is to clear cache and relog.

Yep - almost all missing inventory issues will be resolved with a cache clearing , and then log into a quiet sim and don't do much while your inventory reloads, other than entering various search terms to help speed up the loading.

Corra is a nice quiet water sim, if you need a name.

I hate to seem overly pessimistic, but the same thing happened to me three months ago, and the folder has never been recovered. Unfortunately, it contained most of my original creations - mostly buildings and furniture. I don't claim that any of it was very special, but it was important to me because it represented hours of hard work and my personal learning curve. It was a very painful lesson in making sure I keep a copy of everything I possibly can!

Well, I did say *almost* all inventory issues will be resolved with the cache clearing.

There have, off and on, been some major inventory losses - some of the items have at times been found, sometimes quite a bit of time later, and some never found/returned.

I had the sim I live on crash about a month back and when it came back up, it had been rolled back about an hour. I lost a few thousand dollars worth of new dances and cuddle poses that I had rezzed in that span and there was nothing that LL would/could do about it. The items have never come back to my inventory nor ever showed back up in world.


The lost inventory items really does tick me off - I am responsible for databases in my RL job and something like that would have gotten me fired a long time ago. Guess it is a difference in how important people view the data.
