Why is help island abandoned?

So as some of you may know, I was having trouble getting SL to work on my new, state of the art laptop...but it worked fine on my old crappy one, with a crack in the screen. But anyway, I've decided to just play SL on my old computer for now, so, I decided to go to help island. But, when I get there, there's no people whatsoever. There's not even any helpful guides, which I was told there would be. Help island is abandoned.

Why?

If you go to "Help Island Public", you will find there are plenty of people (quite overcrowded actualy)

The numbered help islands are kind of empty and quiet, Help Island 1, Help Island 2 etc.

There are lots of Help Islands. Do you mean Help Island Public? There are two Help Island Publics, "Help Island Public" and "Help Island Public 2". At the moment there are 35 people in HIP and 4 people in HIP2.

There are many other Help Islands, which are only supposed to be accessible by new users, volunteers, and Linden staff. Those HIs will be named just plain "Help Island" or else will have a number added like "Help Island 2".

There's also a Linden access only "Help Island Staging" which we users shouldn't ever be ending up in.
