Ban Line Bouncing

My partner and I are still fairly new having been around only 3 - 4 months, so maybe this has been done before and we just hadn't heard of it.

We have land in 2 diff sims and have the same problem on both....a 16 m surrounded by red ban lines bordering our land. I have read enough in forums to understand that these are basically attempts to get nearby landowners to pay a lot of money for a little land in order to get rid of the ugly and annoying ban lines...and because I see that as extortion I wouldn't buy them even if I could afford them...

My partner, however, has managed to turn lemons into lemonade by discovering that if you go to the top of one of these, it is better than any trampoline! You can bounce around, and get some real altitude We even made a game of it, to see who can keep bouncing the longest without missing and falling off.

So if you have an annoying 16m surrounded by ban lines next door, give it a try! (I can only hope that somehow the landowner would be notified of every bounce, causing it to become as much of an annoyance to him as his ban lines are for everyone else lol)

(In one sim, the ban line parcel is completely surrounded by our land, and we have banned the parcel owner for kicks, so when he does (if ever) go on his parcel, it's like reverse ban lines and his own version of 'ban line bouncing')

It's a great game - usually most popular on the mainland.

Unfortunately banlines suck.

I left the mainland about 2 years ago and never went back, where i live now we have a covenant that explicitly states "no-banlines" and "no-commercial builds" it's great because you have about 100 contiguous sims that you can sail around to your hearts content without ever breaking your nose on a wall. Of course respecting privacy is still expected

This sounds like real fun, I must try it next time I encounter the lines ...

Perhaps SL could come up with some 'Ban Line Olympics' !

I hate those things.

There are 2 16m parcels surrounded by ban lines right next door to my new store - I put a solid wall next to them so it doesn't really impede access unless someone's flying in from the side. I will definitely have to try the trampoline game. Sounds like fun.

if you find one of those sims where everyone has ban lines, you can actually bounce your way across the whole sim.

*laughs* Yeah that does sound like fun.

Being a newb landowner (ok renter with land controls whatever) I found out last night that I had ban lines around my parcel. I had no idea because as the landowner, and being allowed on the land, they're not visible to me. They're against covenant where I stay and imagine how embarrassing it was to get that IM. They're just ugly and running into them is akin to becoming a snared rabbit!

Forum Cartel field trip anyone? This could rival the day we all were bouncing on the hangout roof with the trampolines... hehe
