is anyone else getting locked into position every 2 mins for about 3 seconds, cant chat/move etc, its not my internet connection, i have restarted SL with no luck

other ppl in my sim are feeling it

I've found it to be particularly laggy today in general. For whatever reason. Maybe all those zombies in that lake are sucking the juice out of the rest of us.

I just got logged out, have not tried to get back in yet

was not overly laggy, but a little before I was logged out

(was looking at land for sale via the map, so was not moving or chatting much)

Ironic you should post this now, I just searched for this last night. I tried the new viewer (1-18-4-3) and didn't have this happen until last night. I went back to 1-18-0 happily/smoothly.

Anyways, from my search on viewer freezes, seems it's known problem that came with the voice versions: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2051

I haven't tried the object occlusion thing yet though...

I haven't tried the object occlusion thing yet though...

And now that I have, it didn't help at all. Fortunately neither the pre-voice viewer nor the new Windlight viewer have the problem!

Could be something to do with network load resulting from "moving the IP address of 2000 regions" blog post?

Yes i had that problem too, thought it was my internet connection. Got booted and frozen so many times I gave up in the end.
