I've just completed building a replica of a temple found on Fuchsia and am now trying to identify the textures used in the building. I'd post a snapshot here but can't figure out how, so; can I ask anyone who's familiar with textures to go take a look and see if they recognise them.

The location is Fuchsia (225, 15, 23)

Most of the details - wall hangings, lamps, creepers etc I can probably track down from the supplier names, but the stone block texture's got me stumped. I suspect the textures are a few years old as the building's been there for a little while. I also suspect all the various textures used in the various parts of the build come from the same file/group.

If you get a chance I'd be grateful - you might just recognise them immediately,

Thanks in advance, Perre :)

If I don't reply to any reponse..I'm just heading off to RL work and won't be back here for about twelve hours

Why you don't just right click the original temple, select Edit, and check out the profile of the person who originally made it? If you want a copy for yourself they may have a store or may be willing to sell/give you a copy. Or if your more interested in the textures they used they may be able to say where they got them from.

Pere, if it's what type of stone precisely, can you describe it? Light, dark, grey, pink, silver speckles, dark grey, brown, what? I'll come and look this evening, but see if you can describe it here.

I'd post a snapshot here but can't figure out how

Slightly off-topic technical note:
For Resident Answers, the only way to post an image is to have it somewhere else on the web (like your own web site, or an image host), and embed it here using IMG tags and the URL.

Some of the other forums here, like New Products or the Gallery, allow you to upload images directly to this server and tack it on to your post as an attachment.

Yep tried that some time ago and although I have a name I was unable to find any trace of them in-world, I also contacted the owner of the land and property but she had apparently bought the land with the building already in situ and so was unable to assist. So I decided to build a 'near' replica with a few adjustments, which looks pretty good (in fact I reckon it looks down-right amazing..even if I do say so myself) with the exception it's made from wood.

Mid brown - light brown (sandstone I'm guessing), showing large block work detail, some of the walls have a texture showing large blocks and a capping stone. It's the large block effect I'm really interested in. Probably easier to take a look..if you havn't seen it before..I think it's the best building I've seen in SL..hence my interest and desire to replicate it as accurately as possible.

Seems a little odd that you can link an avi pic to a pic from your hard drive and yet can't link a pic in the thread to a pic from the same source.. even more odd is that different forums have different abilities..but then there are quite a few 'odd' things in SL.:)

Those little avi pics don't use much disk space on the Forums' servers. One pic per resident max. But allowing everybody to store every image they want on the servers would really eat up disk space and bandwidth from their servers. That's why they force you to use someone elses web space to get the pics from.

Yes that would make sense..and you can imagine every reply to every thread being accompanied by a picture in no time. Logging in would take about a week.

When I look at the building and see the creator. I hope this isn't out of line but the creator and I share a group, and according to the group member info this person was logged in today, so they are definitely still around.

You might try IMing them again if you haven't lately.

Edit: In fact I popped over to the store in their profile and saw some very nice texture organizers. Seems they are still around.

I stopped by to look at the build. The creator is SunenRec Ayoob, who is an all-around good egg. Definitely IM and ask nicely if those are custom textures or part of a texture pack sold retail in SL. Several of the parts are from Baron Grayson's "Relic" building kit, which is available at Sanctum Sanctorum

As if just to annoy me and frustrate me even more I tried out the Havoc4 system tonight, logged in and found myself standing in something not unlike Crystal Palace (not that I've even been in the original Crystal Palace..it having burnt to a cynder in 1936). Was wandering around and suddenly realised the lower stone walls and the floors were the same texture as that which I've been searching for..which doesn't help as it's a Linden creation.

The search continues....
