Losing Pixels

I seem to be losing the bottom line on pixels almost all text.

it doesn't matter what skin I use, what font size I set, wheather I run SL in a window or full screen or what my desktop resolution is, it just seems that I lose pixels on odd lines in IM, chant, sim names, the search window, all the buttons and so on.
The only way to get a proper line to show is to play with the window size moving it back and forth until the particular line of interest shows propperly, or to copy past the entire thing into another program.

It's driving me absolutely mad.
It only happens in the SL cliant which I have uninstall and reinstalled now twice just because of this problem.
Its been going on for a very long time, but I had hoped it would right itself.
It can't be something that's happening to everyone, its too simple and too annoying but I have no idea what's causing it.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

I would suggest trying a third party viewer to see if that makes a difference- if not, it could be your Windows settings- assuming you have Windows - or it could be also your screen got 'moved' and you need to readjust it?

Do you have a ridiculously high end graphics card? That might be it. I'm running a GTX285 on one of my machines and have some font weirdness (though not as bad), and I've heard of others with similar problems.

OK, tryed a partial clian whch had no effect then tryed another stand alone cliant, the GreenLife Emerald Viewer and that has had an effect.
It hasn't fixed the problem at all, but it is much improved.

I don't think it should be a hardwear issue, but it might be, this situation came about suddenly immediatly after updating my sl cliant some time ago. the update may have had nothing to do why this happened, but it just seemed like a likely cause which is why I waited so long. I though, one update breakes, the next fixes. I was wrong.

I also tryed hooking up a second monitor and used that rather than the laptop built in one, no matter how I played with it it didnt have any impact on the problem at all.

It could be a lot of things, I have an autoupdater for windows and my graphics card running so I'll have to look into those and see what they have been up to.

att he moment I am quite happy to continue on as it stands. Not perfect, but the vast majprity of material is esily readable once again.

Thanks for the help.
