It's too bad that Linden hasn't moved forward to adjust the client to allow muting the visibility of parcels. Modified clients such as the Able version do the trick quite well.

Agreed. Big screen walls are usually ugly in SL. We all know it's not a real screen, just a big picture, and you get them in RL too and they're just as ugly. Is it time the Lindens organised a gale that's strong enought to blow down these screens without doing much other damage?

Putting a nice super-size photo of a pretty scene on a big board usually doesn't work as it fits in so badly with the surrounding SL landscape.

When we first walled in our little garden, it was because we didn't want to look out at the mess that was mainland. And considering the mess that was on the outside, we thought it a vast improvement over the adfarms. Since then, the walls became a PART of our garden.

I guess we could alpha them, so that people can see in...we wouldn't want to ruin the beauty of the place for passers by....

oh wait, it was already ruined

But ok, I talk to the partner tonite about alpha

You couldn't pay me to complain about my sim-neighbor's pair of 100x100 screens... Maybe when it was shiny... But hardly worse than their mis-aligned log cabins. (^_^)y

I like yours blot, are they your own textures? if so do you sell them, as that would look awesome as a backdrop for my house

I decided to put some fun back into SL and after removing the stores, I am using my land for me, put up my house and decorating it
