I'm curious if anyone has tweaked the set up for Space Navigator (either in the SN utility or the viewer) or if they just use the defalut settings. What do you use the right button for?

LOL. Seriously, I assigned it to some silly function in the SN setup applet...and I don't remember what it is, or how to change it.

With the option of switching the right and left hand buttons the SN is not right of left handed like a typical mouse.

I'm the opposite...I'm a lefty, and I use SN with the left hand and the mouse with the right, just like Sindy. Oops, I mean, "Tex".

What do you use the right button for? I've played with the setup in Joystick Setup a bit, trying to smooth the motion of my prim horse, Bucephalus. A lot of that depends on how SL feels that day, though. And I have the right button set for "jump", for taking Bu over the Willowdale Horse Jumping ring at Theron. (/me waves to Imogen...) But mostly I use it for Machinima stuff with the default settings.
