Hi all, I have never offered gift certificates/vouchers, but I am in need of one at the moment. What is the best way to go about this? Should I whip up a no mod/no copy/ transfer texture as the voucher that is submitted with a notecard requesting the items? Or, should I just make a no copy notecard that works as the certificate? Any thoughts from people with more experience making/using these? This is probably a one time deal, so it doesn't need to be a sophisticated system. Thanks for your help.

create a prim with a texture, that states in it what to do, and make it no mod/no copy
so they can transfer it back to you (include a notecard with it, either in the form of touch for notecard or just included outside of the certificate)
the notecard should explain how to redeem the certificate
unless you wish to have it as ongoing, then you might consider looking into a system for them

Yup, I agree 100%, and that's how I make my certificates. I have tokens that can be redeemed for a free portrait session. The token is a physical prim (big oversized coin) set to no mod/no copy/trans. If they want to redeem it, they have to give it to me.
I also know where my tokens have gone, so I keep a notecard in my inventory with a running list. When someone redeems their token, I mark them off the list. If someone tries to redeem a token and they aren't on the list, I ask where they obtained the token. They tell me who gave them the token, and I cross that name off the list.
