Weapons your tips please.

Hiya! I'm new to RP and fighting and am looking for some good swords.
I am overwhelmed by the choice and without trying them dont really know what I am looking for.
Also what is 'enhanced' with weapons? I am using CCS.
Your experience and tips here in the forum has led me to some great finds (Akeyo for one wow!) So if you have any particular standout weapons that you can recommend that would be a great help.

Perhaps you could re-post it with the subject "looking for a sword (CCS)" in the Products Wanted forum, though "what is your favorite" kind of posts get posted here, too, so you could probably phrase it here as "what's your favorite sword?" or "who are the best sword-makers?".

I can remember seeing some beautifully textured Japanese ones at Tiger Armor on the Great Wall - but if you want medieval then there is a nice Celtic Sword in the Library.

Try searching on X-street - I should think swords that work with CCS will be advertised as such.

"Enhanced" probably means it comes with a HUD and/or other features to control the animations, or it had additional animations.

Some combat role play areas have their own specific HUDs and weapons - so you need to have some idea of what you are looking for, before anyone can help you much.

personally i'm a katana person, but i'm not actually RPing anywhere so i dont know anything about actual combat...

that said, my sword works with CI (samurai island combat system) so i guess it would be Mostly Harmless in RP areas that do CCS or such.

It is Mostly Harmless, in many cases. Some combat systems take issue with the collisions caused by the "sword bullets" that are used in CI, and if that's the case, you can go into the Customization menu of your CI weapon and set it to "Practice Mode", which disables such things.

Anvils. You can't go wrong with anvils.

It's harder to find a group of people that you like doing combat with than to find a good weapon. And it's more fun to do combat with everyone using compatible weaponry - so, personally, I would find the group first, then ask OOC about what they think are the best. Maybe you can start a fight about it

That said, there are some really gorgeous swords in the "Show us your Sculpties" thread, in the Gallery subforum.

Boobs, anvils, condoms? I told you, you should have specified "swords"

Anvils are good, but sheep are funnier. And they get up and run around after they bop you.

I'm sorry I phrased the question so badly, I'm not great with expressing myself,
which is why I hope to get out there more and try some RP.
