I have an item (a pillow) that is mod. Inside that pillow is a nomod/nocopy animation, a nocopy/mod parameters file and a nocopy/nomod script file. Everything is transfer.. But for some reason, I can't open the parameters file to adjust the animation's position.. (The parameters file is mod though.) Any idea why?

There have been some funny permissions issues lately. Try in another sim, maybe.

Hey, thanks for your reply.

I've just tried that and unfortunately it did not work.

Any other suggestions?

Search results seem to say you need 'copy' permission to be able to read the notecard

I can't be certain about it as I can't test it just now, but I think the problem is highlighted above. If the parameters notecard is no copy, it is no mod too, even if the permissions allow modify.

A no copy/mod notecard could copied/pasted in a new notecard, being copied this way. To prevent this, modifying it is disallowed too.

Ah thanks.

That's the source of the issue then.

Hey, I realised when I was writing that it was a stupid reply, but at least your problem was bumped ;-D

Solution; the file had to be copy too.

Makes sense now that I think of it. :)

Thank you for all your replies.

The really silly part is that scripts can read no-copy notecards, so it's kind of hard to think of a situation where they would actually be useful.
